Kabul: Law enforcement agencies in the Islamic Emirates of Afghanistan perished seven terrorists of ISIS last night. The military operation was conducted in the wee hours Saturday. The Taliban fighters accomplished the task successfully killing all the six terrorists who were involved in car bombing of Wazir Akbar Khan mosque in which seven people were martyred last month in September.
The Counter terrorism operation which was conducted by the law enforcers of the Islamic Emirates of Afghanistan eliminated all the terrorists who were, according to officials, planning attacks in the heart of Kabul, the Capital of the Islamic Emirates of Afghanistan.
Zabiullah Mujahid, the spokesperson of the Islamic Emirates of Afghanistan confirmed the news and said a counter terrorism operation was conducted against ISIS in 8th district of Kabul which had accomplished task successfully.
“An operation was carried out against an armed group of ISIS militias by the forces of the special units of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. As a result, six ISIS members were killed, weapons, hand grenades, explosives and a car Corolla were recovered from them. The ISIS fighters were involved in killed in recent explosions in the Wazir Akbar Mosque, the Pine Educational Course in Dasht Barchi, and some other crimes against civilians,” Zabiullah Mujahid, the spokesperson of the Islamic Emirates of Afghanistan confirmed on Saturday.
The Islamabad Telegraph learnt reliably that the Islamic Emirates of Afghanistan took only thirty days to take revenge of car-bombing in Wazir Akbar Khan mosque which had killed more seven people last month. The ISIS had carried out the car-bombing which had perished more than forty Muslims and wounded dozens.
“ The Islamic Emirates of Afghanistan wouldn’t spare anyone involved in the killing of any of its citizen. It’s a promise to the people of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan that we wouldn’t spare anyone involved in harming of our citizens,” Zabiullah Mujahid told The Islamabad Telegraph.
On September 23, 2022, at least seven people were martyred and 41 others injured, including children, as a car bomb exploded outside a mosque in the Afghan capital Kabul when worshippers were coming out after Friday prayers. The vehicle with explosives was parked by the roadside near the Wazir Akbar Khan Mosque, Kabul police spokesman Khalid Zadran said in a statement. ISIS had claimed responsibility of attack.
Analysts said, Taliban have successfully rooted out militancy from across Afghanistan and such operations show their strength and power is continuously increasing every day.
“ Talibans have taken control of entire Afghanistan within a year of coming into power. They have successfully eliminated terrorism from across Afghanistan within a year. It is unprecedented. Reports show the ISIS is helpless in front of Taliban fighters. I am sure, Taliban will overcome the menace of ISIS soon,” A K Afgha, an analyst based in Kabul, told The Islamabad Telegraph.
Earlier in June this year, Special units of the Islamic Emirates of Afghanistan had killed eight key militants of the self-proclaimed Islamic State Khorasan (ISIS-K) and captured three others.
Taliban forces carried out an afternoon raid against an ISIS-K base in Taloqan, the capital of the northeastern province, Takhar, and eliminated what local officials told Afghan state-run media was a “funding, equipping and training center” of the terrorist group.
Zabihullah Mujahid had confirmed the military action, saying special forces of the General Directorate of Intelligence, the new name of the Afghan spy agency, assaulted the militant base.
Mujahid added that the ensuing heavy clashes killed eight men, including an important commander of the group, identified as Younis Uzbekistani. He did not share further details.
