Pakistran’s Armed Forces are one of the greatest forces in the world. Pakistan Army made it loud and clear on Friday that it is always ready and fully equipped to respond to any threat to Pakistan.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) issued a statement on Friday, stating that the discussion in the media about Pakistan Army’s combat worthiness and the former army chief’s views have been quoted out of context. The military’s media wing assured the people of Pakistan that they have always taken pride in their operational preparedness and utmost combat worthiness. The ISPR’s statement came in response to recent discussions in the media about the condition of certain weapon systems in the Pakistan Army’s inventory and the former army chief’s views on the future threats to Pakistan, which he shared with media persons in an off-the-record interactive session. The ISPR clarified that the former army chief’s views were taken out of context, and the Pakistan Army remains combat-ready to defend the country against any threat.
The ISPR’s statement comes in response to recent comments made by journalist Hamid Mir in an interview with a local television channel. Mir claimed that former COAS Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa told a group of journalists in 2021 that the Pakistan Army was not capable of combat. However, the ISPR has now clarified that these remarks were taken out of context and that the Pakistan Army remains combat-ready and committed to the defense of the country. The ISPR also reiterated that Pakistan’s armed forces would continue to keep their weapons, equipment, and battle-hardened human resource ever ready to defend the motherland.
