Authorities revealed that an 18-year-old girl was found dead at the scene, succumbing to a gunshot wound, while a 20-year-old man was rushed to a hospital but sadly did not survive. Among the injured victims, three individuals are in critical condition, according to officials.

The Baltimore Police Department later identified the deceased victims as 18-year-old Aaliyah Gonzales and 20-year-old Kylis Fagbemi. During a press conference held on Sunday afternoon, Police Commissioner Richard Worley informed reporters that all the victims had suffered gunshot wounds. The age range of those affected is between 13 and 32, with approximately 14 victims being under 18 years old.
The victims include girls aged 13, 14, and 15, as well as 16- and 17-year-olds, along with women aged 18, 19, 20, 23, and 32, according to the police. The male victims comprise boys aged 13 and 15, 16- and 17-year-olds, and men aged 18, 22, and 31.
“It was a war zone. It was definitively a war zone,” said a witness identified only as L.N., who requested anonymity due to feeling unsafe in Baltimore, when speaking to ABC News.
The mass shooting occurred around 12:30 a.m. in the Brooklyn Homes neighborhood, located in the southern district of the city. Worley stated that police officers swiftly responded to multiple 911 calls reporting gunshots. The incident unfolded during an unauthorized large block party at a housing development on Gretna Court, according to Worley, who later disclosed this information to the media.
“When officers arrived, we discovered multiple victims suffering from gunshot wounds,” Worley explained.
Authorities are currently searching for multiple suspects linked to the shooting. As of now, no arrests have been made. Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott condemned the violence as a “reckless, cowardly act” during a news conference near the crime scene, stating that the entire city mourns the lives lost and stands in solidarity with the recovering victims.
“We will not rest until we apprehend those cowards who callously targeted dozens of people, resulting in loss of life,” Scott declared.
Worley revealed that investigators are diligently reviewing security footage to identify the suspects, while the motive behind the shooting remains under investigation.
