Extrajudicial killings or judicial killings?

By Aziz khan

You often listen to the stories of extrajudicial killings in newspapers, electronic media and social media, in which the police kills people in fake police competitions against whom there is no evidence in which the police can punish them in accordance with law.

Sometimes these suspects are also killed by the firing of their own colleagues and the killers are successful in escaping from the police.

Its a long discussion, but do you know it is known that there are daily judicial killings in Pakistan as well as which are not visible or noted- such judicial killings have been happening in our homeland for 73 years, and these killings are often seen outside the lawyers’ Chambers and courts.

These are such moving dead bodies that are breeding generations of our country’s smelly judicial system. The delay of dates has never ended, the lawyer has never been on the leave, and the judge is on leave, and they the ones that come from a distance of 100 kms have to come.

While working in the police department, I realized the flaws of the police department and I wrote many articles on it, but as an advocate, I also saw the attitude of the courts with the silence.

Decisions are delayed in other subordinate courts, but today I will only talk about service tribunal courts. In the Punjab service tribunal, judges are often appointed who have completed their service and are close to retirement. Apart from the judiciary, judges are also appointed from other departments who do not understand the services in a better way, due to which employees’ appeals are not decided for many years.

Any department’s civil servants appeal to the service tribunal court is usually done after being convicted in court and appeal before the officers, most of appeals are of them being dismissed from the job, and could also be small or big appeals depending on what the problem is.

The judges give long delayed dates, due to which the employees who are dismissed from the job do not make decisions for their appeals, and when the decision is made, they have become so mentally disturbed that it becomes difficult for them to work again.

In one of my cases, which was dated November 22, 2020, a court has given a hearing on March 8, 2021, which is four months after the date.

In addition to this delay, the lawyers and the head of the department are equally guilty – lawyers do not often come to date because of their other engagements and the departments do not send timely comments especially to the police, due to which the decisions of these appeals are not successful.

Most of the sentences are also given to the employees of the police department – after punishing the employees, for many years, the clerk Mafia and the officers do not call the employees for the hearing of the appeals, nor do they decide their appeals – all this is done deliberately so that the employees should be tortured.
