For decades, this institution has been a beacon of hope and enlightenment, nurturing generations of young minds with knowledge and wisdom. However, on a fateful morning, tragedy struck, threatening to engulf not just a building, but the dreams and aspirations of an entire community.

It was a crisp morning like any other when chaos descended upon Sirikot. A massive fire erupted within the walls of the girls’ school, sending plumes of smoke billowing into the sky. Panic gripped the hearts of students, teachers, and residents alike as the flames spread with ferocious intensity. Amidst the chaos, heroes emerged – the courageous staff of the school, whose swift action and selfless bravery saved countless lives.

The office of the principal, the staff room, and the offices of clerical staff – all reduced to ashes in the blink of an eye.

PK-42 MPA Naveed Iqbal, tehsil nazim Sahibzada Qasim Shah, the deputy commissioner, and the deputy police officer – each lent their voice to the chorus of resilience that echoed through the town.

Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur swiftly responded to the fire incident at Government Girls Higher Secondary School in Haripur on Monday, urging immediate action.

He instructed the Education Department and relevant district administration to investigate the causes of the fire and provide a comprehensive report without delay. Rescue teams acted promptly, ensuring the safe evacuation of all students.

Furthermore, the Chief Minister mandated the prompt repair of the school building damaged by the fire to ensure uninterrupted educational activities. Additionally, he called for a thorough review of all educational institutions to implement preventive measures against future incidents
