ISLAMABAD: With acute shortage of ventilators and unavailability of beds in hospitals, Pakistan is finding it very difficult to cope with pandemic of Covid-19.

Until Monday, June 8, 2020, Pakistan recorded more than 105637 confirmed case of corona. Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, former Prime Minister of Pakistan and Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, federal Minister for Pakistan railways were among noted Pakistanis who tested positive for Coronavirus on Monday.

Huge rush was seen in markets and malls countrywide as as hospitals warned they are running out of beds to treat patients.

Utterly alarmed by the people taking the virus lightly , Imran Khan, Prime Minister of Pakistan advised the people to strictly follow SOPs.

At president Pakistan lags behind Western nations in virus tolls, but experts warn a lack of testing or accurate reporting in rural areas could be hiding true figures.
Pakistan has seen spike in cases, and on Monday the government said more than 100,000 cases and 2,000 deaths had now been recorded.

Last week a leaked government report suggested there were nearly 700,000 infections in Lahore alone.
